Photos, letters and military medals are in charge of lighting the Christmas decorations this year in the White House by first lady Michelle Obama, and also includes replicas of the family pet, the dog “Bo”, made with buttons and trash bags.

Christmas “is one of my favorite times of year,” confessed Michelle in a relax ceremony at the White House military families.

In these families, which represent the “best” U.S. first lady’s words, is dedicated this year the Christmas decorations in the White House and especially the main tree, a fir more than five feet from Neshkoro (Wisconsin) and located in the blue room.

The fir tree is decorated with Christmas cards created by children of military families around him photos of the Armed Forces.

Medals, badges and ribbons inspired by the colors of the armed forces also hang from the branches.

In the east wing of the presidential residence was placed another tree in which there are letters, messages and photos of U.S. military personnel serving “in the whole world,” as Michelle recalled.

The 85,000 people expected to visit during December the White House may, if desired, write messages to those soldiers.

With permission from the military, the other protagonist is, as Michelle said, the member “most famous” of the Obama family, the dog “Bo”, which can be found “in each room because it is hidden everywhere.”

There are several replicas of “Bo”, some larger than one’s own pet, made of original materials like buttons, candy and trash bags.

And this Christmas is that the White House has backed many handcrafted decorative materials “simple” as paper, felt and cans recycled.

The theme chosen by the Obama family for the holidays is also simple: “to shine, giving and sharing,” to remember the importance of spending time with family and friends, the joy of giving to others and to share.
