The color has come to our homes, gone are the monochromatic space. Currently “anything goes” when it comes to create unique and inviting. The trends in paint bet on the contrast and color play not only in walls, ceilings and floors also.
Highlight a wall with a different color than the rest.
Painting a wall of strong color and contrast to the other brings personality to every environment; it is also a perfect resource to highlight a particular area. On the other hand, it is increasingly common to see this trend in decorating magazines, since it is a topical decorative appeal.
Before choosing the color, keep in mind that a long room seems squarer if the back wall is a dark warm tone in contrast to others (whites). In very elongated corridors represents the ideal resource for visually shorten space. The choice of wall color to paint and will use depends on the effect we want to achieve.
Any wall painted colors like charcoal gray, chocolate, brick, aubergine or black will give depth to the environment, like any dark color on the wall that faces the door.
The most important rule to follow is to not use bright colors (orange, red, etc.) In small rooms, as they too reduce space. On the other hand you know that dark colors stand out more imperfections in the walls, and any color looks darker on a broad wall of a small.
Renewing the floor with paint.
Due to the different types of paints, stains and varnishes, any floor (wood, cement, ceramic, laminate or stone) can change color. The main advantage is that it is cheaper to replace it and the result is optimal. Although it is easiest to paint the entire floor of one color (white wood is the latest trend), you can choose to create effects: zigzag, plaid, checkerboard, or use a template for other drawings.
Each floor needs a special paint, the polyurethane used for wood floors and synthetic floors for cement and concrete. And to get a grip on smooth floors finished and often are wet you can use special varnishes.
